Important : You must have Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 4, or Internet
Explorer 5 installed on your computer to use AuctionPrime.
AuctionPrime's internal browser depends on components
that are installed in either version of IE. Newer computers
come with IE installed, so in most cases this shouldn't be
a problem. However, if you have an older system on which you
have never installed an IE version, or a newer computer from
which you've uninstalled it, you will need to download and
install IE from this
location, and you'll need to do this before
using AuctionPrime.
I wrote AuctionPrime several years ago to get a handle
on my own 'auction habit'! I was winning several auctions
a week.
Keeping track of what I'd won, who I'd paid, and what I'd
recieved was becoming a major logistical nightmare! I checked
around to find software like this, and was very disappointed
with what I found ... so I just wrote my own! This program
in all likelyhood saved my sanity!
We've made this program extremely easy to use, and so we're
going to keep the documentation to a minimum here. You're
probably going to want to start using this right away, so
these documents will cover the basics and hit the highlights,
and any other cliches I can think of to 'start the ball rolling'.
If, as you use AuctionPrime, you feel there's anything
we've left out that we shouldn't have, please write me personally
and let me know. We'll add it to future releases of the documentation.
Thanks for using AuctionPrime! The topics you're going
to need to know about are listed on the buttons to your left,
so click and read away!
The most important thing to remember is that from now on,
you'll be using AuctionPrime as your browser for visiting
online auction sites on the web. AuctionPrime can't view and
act on information in other browsers, just information in
its own browser screens. However, AuctionPrime also makes
it very easy to navigate to auction sites, and you'll enjoy
doing it this way.
